We were in the midst of remodeling a bathroom when we ran into a problem which required some of the existing plumbing be replaced. We thought this might involve cutting out a piece of the wall behind the shower. Colton came and assessed the problem, got the required materials, and fixed it very quickly. He found a way to do it without cutting into the wall which we really liked! Colton was professional, friendly, and did a great job!! We'll definitely call him again for our plumbing needs.

Mother’s came out to assess a sewer drainage leak that we had. Colton and his team were extremely helpful, and very knowledgeable. They came to my house within 24 hours of me calling, and were incredibly thorough and fair. Steven and Colton were great, and the pricing was extremely transparent. I like the fact that everything was digital and emailed to me! Fast forward, Jerry and Brian came out and completed the entire re-route in a week. They were thorough and updated us daily with their next steps. Can’t say enough good things about Mother and the work they did. We trusted them with our largest plumbing project to date and they delivered! Calling them whenever we need a plumber in the Plano area. We also got our Water Heater replaced through them and that was a breeze.

At first, they were very considerate to my problems. Matt was very personable and made me feel like they had my best interests in mind. But then the sales guy comes. And give me 3 quotes. One $5,800 to replace the pipe with trenching. Two $5000 for trenchless replacement. Three for just repairing the pipe. After looking at it myself, it was just two loose fittings. Watch yourself with this company.

Ben showed up on time and we got charged but the problem was not fixed! This was the worst experience I had with a plumbing company. We had a problem with laundry room drain clogged, when I called the company, I was quoted $299 (with website coupon $269) for camera inspection and deep cleaning and the warranty of 120 days . Ben found the problem with the drain, instead of spending more time to fix it, he spent almost 30 minutes trying to get me to agree on the jet cleaning which was a much higher price, after hearing my declining, he said the cleaning he did that day would not guarantee! The laundry room flooded the next day!!!

The reason for three stars is the cost point. Matt and his apprentice that came out today and did the work were professional, knowledgeable and very nice. I was disappointed that it took two trips on two separate days to get the work done. That meant me missing two half days at work. Colton came out yesterday and was also very nice , but said he didn’t have the necessary parts with him to fix the leak. The guys today had to leave and go to the hardware store to get parts before they could get started. It took no more than 10’ of pipes and fittings. It cost me $1574 .04 to run two pipes from the water softener to the outside pipes to the main line. They did not have to plumb the actual softener. The only parts replaced were near the cutoff valves down. It’s was approximately 3.5’ to 4’ per line. They did replace 3 cutoff valves, but I have bought them before and know they aren’t terribly expensive. Overall I am happy with the actual work, but not at all happy with the cost. They do encourage a member ship that cost about $330.00 a year and gives you a discount on the service and a few other perks, but that ended up only costing about $100.00 after the discount ($236.96) on the work. I usually get more than one bid, and it’s my fault I didn’t, but I can’t change that now. So did they do good work? Yes! Are they super expensive? I feel like they are for the time it took and the minimal parts needed. Seems like it was way over $500.00 per hour when all was said and done. I might mention there was no digging involved to reach the pipes. The company is good about telling you who your service person will be and gives you their tracking so you know when they will be there which is a plus. My name is Angela. First of all the company was very responsive, good communication. They stayed true to their timeframe they gave me. I was 40 minutes away and he waited patiently for me. Both of my toilets had water underneath them seeping out. They were not overflowing, but the water was seeping out beneath them. The first plumber, Ben, arrived, checked my sewage line and pointed out some things that could become a problem later. He checked both toilets. He Was very precise and showed every step of the process that he was conducting. Right away, he went to the clean out on the outside of the house and put the camera and looked. He showed me there was nothing going on there, relief. He pointed out what needed to be fixed and what wasn’t a problem. The second plumber Julio arrived. The company had sent an entailed biography of each plumber and a picture. That was a very comforting to me. They explained every step and were very personable. Julio so detailed he mentioned the bathroom trashcan might be out of place and apologized. This company cares about the customer. The first thing I asked when I called If the plumbers were subcontracted. She said no, they worked directly for them. That was another sigh of relief for me. Everything was left in the proper place and very clean. I definitely recommend this company. And if I ever have issues or want to improve my system, I will definitely give them another call. I am in awe of just how wonderful mother modern plumbing company was. From the first person to the last person you guys are professional, efficient, honest, and speedy. Not only things that make a great business, but their team also has integrity and heart. Dustin, Steven, Jerry, and connor plus the excavating team went above and beyond the scope of their required jobs. They were there to fix a leak under our foundation that had been quoted a ridiculous number by another company so we went with Mother after they came out to do a second opinion with no fee. They also helped me install a showerhead and filter that has been sitting in my home for over a year. Then after all the work was done at the end of the night Connor saw myself and my 78 year old grandmother struggling to move some furniture offered to assist us. The kicker was during a follow up call to see how the job went and I mentioned in passing that my daughter's bday was that day. THEY SENT HER A GIFT FOR HER BDAY. No one does that! Mother modern does tho! I have already recommended mother modern plumbing to 3 people one of which just had a leak happen a few days ago

⸻ We had a really good experience with Mother Modern Plumbing!! Julio, Mauricio, and Willie were great to work with. What started as a clogged sink turned into replacing the sewer line, which I was not thrilled about, but they made the whole process way easier than I expected. Everyone involved was very professional. They explained and showed evidence of exactly what needed to be done. They showed up when they said they would, and kept me in the loop the whole time. The office was also really good about communicating who would be coming and when. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The crew they brought in for digging and refilling the trench did a great job too, and everything seemed really well coordinated between them and the guys overseeing the job. When they were done, they actually took the time to put the yard back together, with care getting it back as closely as possible how it looked before, which included relaying some sod! Overall just a solid, professional group and easy to work with. I’d definitely use Julio, Mauricio, and Willie again. I opted for the yearly service plan as well was reasonable!

I recently had Melvin Hill and Josh Dudley from Mother Modern Plumbing handle a residential plumbing project at my home, and I couldn’t be more impressed—easily a 5-star experience from start to finish! They arrived right on time, fully prepared, and his professionalism shone through immediately with their courteous demeanor and meticulous attention to detail. They walked me through every step of the process, explaining the “why” behind each valve and fitting in a way that was clear and easy to understand, even for someone like me who’s not a plumbing expert. Their communication was top-notch; they patiently answered all my questions (including a few I’d been saving for “later,” just like his advice suggests!) and made sure I felt informed and confident throughout. Off the clock, knowing he’s a dedicated family man and youth coach just adds to the sense of trustworthiness. I had a kitchen sink backup that I partially resolved by using a hand auger to break up the clog. But after spending a day trying to clear it, I knew I needed professional help. After contacting several plumbers, Mother Modern Plumbing stood out for their attentiveness, honest commentary and straight up, fair pricing. I ended up booking the $299 drain clean special which came with a warranty and I'm so glad I did. I booked and received a confirmation call and email. The day of the service, I received a text with bio of the plumber that would be servicing my home. Adan Diaz showed up and he was fantastic! He was pleasant and knowledgeable. Not only did he solve the problem but he gave pointers on what to look for and other homeowner misses that can ultimately end up causing thousands if dollars if not addressed. He didn't try to upsell or force. He came, did his job and educated. If I need a plumber in the future. I'll fit sure call Mother!

****Update***** The owner of the company called me a few minutes ago to have a conversation about my request and offered a free estimate for the work I'm requesting, and he provided his cell number if I should have any other concerns. I can't speak towards their level/quality of service, I called asking for a quote for a natural gas line installation and while I've received two free quotes from other companies, Mothers said it would be a $39 charge to send someone out to inspect the needs of the service and provide a quote. I canceled the request because there are too many companies that will offer a free estimate, I couldn't justify paying for one. I have never been asked to pay a trip charge to get an estimate for anything I've ever looked into doing by any company before, I was quite surprised when he said there would be one.

I just bought a meticulously renovated 1922 Tudor in Junius Heights. I noticed my primary bath toilet was leaking around the bottom. I attempted to get a hold of my contractor and waited a week then looked for a good plumber referral. I found out about Mother Plumbing based on a social media referral. I have now found a plumber for life. Marcus was my technician. He was kind, friendly and super honest. Gave me advice on the issue and told me to get a hold of my contractor and hold him to his word on the warranty. He was honest and extremely helpful. I will now have them out for more work. I need a house water filter and will be referring them to all my neighbors. I am super grateful to find an honest company out there who has educated, knowledgable and kind techs. Call them!

Adam Diaz was very knowledgeable, polite, and kept the work area clean. I liked the service he provided. The cleaning solution had a very strong perfume smell that required us to open windows and turn on all the exhaust fans to get rid of the strong odor. The $600 fee for a one time flush of our tankless water heater was ridiculous. It forced you by default to choose the annual plan for $330. The annual plan does include some other perks, like a free drain clean out and a 16% discount on other work. After some investigation, they corrected my email address and I receive a copy of my bill with the list of items included in writing as promised. Everything was transacted on an iPad.

I've been using plumbers for decades for both commercial and residential projects and have to say these folks are the best I've ever worked with. Their technician was prompt, had all the necessary equipment and knowledge to clear the sewer line problem we had. And, he did it in less that an hour. Plus he didn't try to sell unneeded services or pad the bill. I couldn't be happier and have already recommended Mother to another friend. This firm is going on my permanent contact list for service providers!! Thank you Mother and your tech Stephen for a great job!!
